This is a physical product management role within the building materials and decorative surfaces industry. The ideal candidate will have experience managing manufactured products and a strong understanding of market strategy, product development, new product introductions, pricing, forecasting, and product lifecycle management.

The Senior Product Manager will develop and execute annual and long-term product strategies designed to maximize profitable growth across the TFL portfolio. This position will identify market opportunities and customer needs, assess competitive activity, develop product and pricing strategies, and lead cross-functional initiatives to bring new products to market and optimize the existing portfolio.

This role partners extensively with Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Design, Finance, and other internal teams, as well as customers and external partners. The successful candidate will be comfortable leading complex projects, influencing cross-functional teams, and translating market insights into actionable product strategies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop business cases and return-on-investment analyses for new products, product enhancements, and portfolio investments.
  • Establish product goals and performance metrics and monitor results against business objectives.

Market & Competitive Analysis

  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, market trends, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities.
  • Assess competitors' products, features, pricing, positioning, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Partner with Sales and customers to gather market intelligence and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Translate customer and market insights into product recommendations and business strategies.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the decorative surfaces, TFL, laminate, panels, and broader building materials markets.

New Product Development & Commercialization

  • Lead and coordinate new product introduction initiatives from concept through commercialization.
  • Define product requirements based on market needs, customer insights, competitive analysis, and business objectives.
  • Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Supply Chain, Design, Marketing, and Sales to develop and launch new products.

  • Develop short- and long-term product sales forecasts and monitor performance against expectations.
  • Partner with Finance, Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain to understand product profitability and financial performance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve product margins, inventory performance, and overall portfolio profitability.
  • Support customized and special-order pricing decisions as needed.
