Job Overview

What you will be doing: Technical Leadership and Development Architect, develop, and deliver new features in alignment with business goals, technical standards, and long‑term product needs. Solve complex technical challenges with consideration for scalability, security, maintainability, reusability, and performance. Promote strong engineering practices through code reviews, technical guidance, developer tooling, testing patterns, and team‑defined standardsss. Take ownership of difficult technical tasks, refactors, blockers, and areas requiring deeper research or cross‑team coordination.

Team Leadership and People Development

Lead a small team of developers through regular management practices, including coaching, feedback, career development, onboarding, and team support. Mentor engineers and help them grow through code reviews, pairing, technical guidance, and opportunities aligned to their skill levels. Help set team objectives and create an environment where engineers are unblocked, progressing, and able to do their best work. Support team culture through clear communication, collaboration, accountability, and team‑building opportunities.

Planning, Delivery, and Coordination

Own the work assigned to your team, ensuring features, bugs, and support responsibilities are followed through from planning to delivery and post‑release support. Partner with product managers, QA, developers, and other team leads to plan, estimate, prioritize, and coordinate work. Help break down larger features and tasks into manageable pieces that can be completed safely and in a timely manner. Lead or support team ceremonies such as planning, stand‑ups, retrospectives, and other recurring team meetings.

Key Qualifications
  • 5+ years of full‑stack development experience using JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or similar languages.
  • Front‑end experience with React.js, Angular, or Vue (React.js preferred). Back‑end experience with Node.js and REST APIs such as Express or Fastify.
  • Strong SQL knowledge, including writing queries, migrations, and optimizations.
  • Working knowledge of Docker, Redis, event‑based communication, job processing, and queuing concepts.
  • Proven ability to architect features, plan implementation from start to finish, and make sound technical decisions.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and the judgment to know when to research, ask questions, and move forward.
  • Experience mentoring developers, supporting engineer growth, and helping others improve through feedback and guidance.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to explain technical decisions, understand other viewpoints, and receive feedback constructively.
  • Experience coordinating work across multiple roles, keeping projects moving, and helping unblock engineers.
  • Experience helping define, improve, or reinforce team processes, development standards, and best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a team lead, technical lead, people manager, or mentor for a small development team.
  • Experience leading sprint planning, retrospectives, task breakdown, estimation, onboarding, or team development activities.
  • Experience partnering with product managers to organize priorities, clarify requirements, and plan delivery.
  • Strong understanding of permissioning structures, security analysis, and scalable system design.
  • Experience with state management, validation, styling, data communication, or event‑based systems such as Redux, MobX, Zustand, Zod, SASS, Tailwind, sockets, Redis, APIs, AWS Lambda, Amazon SQS, or RabbitMQ.
  • Experience with development of AI pipelines, AI endpoints, or agent‑supported architecture.
