POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Senior Product Manager, Seasonings will play a critical role in managing and advancing McCormick Flavor Solutions' seasoning business by developing seasoning solutions that support customer growth, business strategy, portfolio optimization, and long-term profitability.

This position will combine technical product development expertise with business leadership, market understanding, customer segmentation, and financial analysis. The Senior Product Manager will help define the strategic direction of the seasoning portfolio, support marketing and sales enablement, identify new business opportunities, and ensure McCormick's seasoning capabilities are aligned with customer, consumer, and market trends.

The role will be responsible for developing & implementing annual product line business reviews & marketing plans by articulating McCormick's value proposition and leveraging a thorough understanding of McCormick's taste creation capabilities and value proposition, our customers' business, as well as the competitive and market landscape.

The role requires a strong understanding of the seasoning ingredient marketplace, customer needs, and commercial business drivers. The individual will work closely with cross-functional partners, including Sales, Marketing, Technical, Culinary, Consumer and Market Insights, Commercialization, Procurement, Regulatory, Quality, and Finance.

This role requires the ability to interpret internal and external data from multiple sources, assess implications for McCormick, and translate insights into clear recommendations. The successful candidate will be expected to support complex technical, commercial, and financial information in a clear and practical manner, provide sound business rationale with quantitative support, and influence stakeholders across the organization regularly interacting with senior management, technical, culinary, and other cross-functional partners, including external agencies/vendors.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the development and execution of the annual strategy for the seasonings business within McCormick Flavor Solutions regularly assessing the needs of Sales and other customer-facing teams to ensure marketing support is aligned with commercial priorities.
  • Help establish the strategic vision for the seasoning portfolio, including growth priorities, innovation platforms, customer targets, margin improvement, portfolio optimization, and drive the commercialization strategy & implementation.
  • Partner with Marketing, Sales, Technical, Culinary, and Insights teams to identify key market trends, consumer needs, and customer opportunities to drive seasoning innovation pipeline.
  • Support annual product line and business reviews by providing technical, commercial, and financial input for assigned seasoning platforms.
  • Contribute to long-term seasoning capability roadmaps, including new flavor profiles, technologies, formats, labeling solutions, and application areas.
  • Lead and influence cross-functional teams across Product Development, Marketing, Sales, Commercialization, Culinary, Consumer and Market Insights, Procurement, Finance, Regulatory, Quality, and Operations.
  • Support financial analysis for the seasoning business, including revenue growth, margin improvement, cost optimization, pricing strategy, and portfolio performance.
  • Lead the development of marketing campaigns and materials focusing on seasoning value propositions, portfolio messaging, and innovation platforms providing consumer and market input for communication plans, customer presentations, trade materials, sales enablement tools.
  • Help develop tools, content, and selling stories that enable Sales teams
  • Drive Sales enablement and effectiveness by defining customer segmentation across seasoning categories and subsequent marketing plans. Proactively identify new content and methods for engaging customers and regularly assess the needs of the Sales team to adjust tools and approach to align with key customer plans to drive pipeline.
  • Provide direction on how to best position North American seasoning portfolio from an industry perspective to communicate McCormick's seasoning value proposition effectively.
  • Manage and execute annual marketing communication calendar and quantify results

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS/BA in Business/Finance/Marketing or related discipline
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in product management/marketing or closely related field; such as sales or customer marketing. B:B experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of the overall flavor industry across the retail and/or foodservice spaces and knowledge of the competitive environment for seasonings and flavor providers.
  • Position requires strong financial and business acumen and excellent leadership skills. Must be able to lead cross functional teams, with an emphasis on P&L implications.
  • Knowledge of the CPG & Food Service industry and competitive environment necessary to provide Leadership with business case.
  • Comfortable working in matrixed organization and able to lead cross functional teams
  • Superior analytical and organizational skills including good understanding of syndicated retail data analysis, financial analysis, and business planning
  • Strong presentation skills with demonstrated success leading and championing business plan recommendations for senior management required
  • Proficiency with Excel, Powerpoint and MS Office / Teams

Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick's Incentive Bonus (MIB) Plan/ McCormick's Sales Incentive Bonus (SIB) Plan/ McCormick's Dividend Program .
