About Us: Bernick's is a 5th generation family-owned provider of beverages, vending and food solutions, representing leading brands such as Pepsi, Dr Pepper, Miller Brewing Company and New England Coffee. We service locations in greater MN and western WI.
Job Summary: The Relief Sales position offers Team Members direct training and development for a Bernick's Sales Rep by introducing you to Bernick's whole portfolio of products. Our goal is to develop your knowledge of the business and sales skill set to prepare you for obtaining a Sales Route.
Responsibilities:
  • Partner with the Bernick's Sales Team to learn our portfolio, execute sales programs, maintain inventories, and oversee the distribution of products
  • Fill in for route sales reps during vacations, sick days, or high-volume periods
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with retail and business customers
  • Stock, rotate, and merchandise products on shelves and displays
  • Monitor inventory and complete accurate order entry
  • Achieve individual growth goals and team sales objectives

Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week)
  • Monday-Friday, 7:00AM-5:00PM or completion
  • Hours may vary with the benefits and challenges that come with the beverage industry

Requirements
  • Demonstrate effective time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing routes/schedules
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Have a Valid Driver's License and driving record which meet Bernick's standards
  • Ability to lift and move product weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Sales or merchandising experience is a plus
  • Travel may be required as part of this role to support various Bernick's locations, events, or business needs. A Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) will be conducted as part of the hiring process and evaluated in relation to the requirements of the role.
  • Team members in this position may be required to handle, move, and work with a variety of products, including alcoholic beverages, nicotine products, pork products, and other regulated consumer goods.
