As a Product Manager for MUSC Health Solutions, you will play a crucial role in driving the development and implementation of innovative healthcare solutions for commercialization beyond the walls of MUSC Health.

Job Description

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including physicians, healthcare professionals, engineers, designers, and other stakeholders, to create and manage cutting-edge products that enhance patient care, optimize workflows, and improve overall healthcare delivery within the organization. The Product Manager serves as an integral member of the MUSC Health Solutions team and will own the development of a Solutions portfolio startup. The primary goal of this role is to take the proof-of-concept product through development phases and on to external commercialization.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Strategy and Vision:

- Develop a clear and compelling product vision to guide development of AI product development

- Identify market opportunities and conduct thorough market research

- Define the product roadmap and prioritize features based on user feedback, business impact, and technical feasibility, alongside development partners


2. Product Development and Lifecycle Management:

- Lead the end-to-end product development process, from ideation to launch, ensuring high-quality, user-centric, and scalable solutions.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and clinical experts, to deliver products that meet regulatory requirements and industry standards.

- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.


3. Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:

- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, administrators, and executives, to understand their needs and communicate product updates effectively.

- Conduct regular meetings, workshops, and presentations to gather feedback, share progress, and align stakeholders on the product strategy.


4. Project Management:

- Coordinate and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that each initiative stays on track, within scope, and meets deadlines.

- Identify and proactively address potential risks and obstacles during the development process.


6. User Experience and User Testing:

- Conduct user research and usability testing to understand user behavior, pain points, and preferences, incorporating feedback to enhance the user experience.

- Advocate for a user-centric approach throughout the product development lifecycle.


Requirements (Education, Work Experience, Licensure, Registry &/or Certifications)

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Data Analytics, or Information Technology

- Minimum of 2 years in product management experience

- Healthcare experience required


Preferred Experience:

- Familiarity with data abstraction, electronic medical records, FHIR, HL7, AI, cyber security in healthcare, complex algorithms, and clinical pathways

- Positive and optimistic problem solver who understands the importance of thinking big. Highly entrepreneurial mindset and interested in taking ideas from zero-to-1.

- Strong understanding of healthcare operations, clinical workflows, and healthcare IT systems.

- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven and analytical mindset.

- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance, and patient privacy standards.

- Familiarity with agile development methodologies
