Job description

Smarty is a self-funded, profitable, and growing SaaS company recognized by the Salt Lake Tribune as one of Utah's Top Workplaces four years running. Our products touch millions of addresses every day, and there is meaningful work ahead in how we continue to surface that value to customers. We are building a team that wants to take on that challenge and grow with us at the same time.
We have an immediate opportunity for a Senior Product Manager to join our team. This is a great role for someone with 3-5 years of PM experience who is ready to take real ownership: contributing to product strategy, shaping the roadmap, and partnering closely with engineering, marketing, and sales to ship great products. You'll work on our core location intelligence solutions, including address validation, geocoding, and address enrichment.
This is an onsite, non-remote opening in Orem, UT.
What You'll Do
  • Contribute to the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Smarty's core location intelligence solutions, including address validation, geocoding, and address enrichment
  • Own defined areas of the product life cycle end-to-end, from requirements through launch and iteration
  • Define and track success metrics for your product areas, using data to drive prioritization and demonstrate business impact
  • Write clear product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and product documentation including PRDs, release notes, and feature specs
  • Research user needs and advocate for the customer experience across the full lifecycle, from onboarding and activation through retention
  • Build strong working relationships across engineering, marketing, sales, and UX

What You Bring
  • 5+ years of experience in software product management, preferably in a SaaS environment
  • Experienced writing product requirements and user stories with the clarity and detail engineering teams need to execute
  • Proficient with product analytics platforms (e.g., Mixpanel, Amplitude, Heap, or similar) and comfortable pulling or working with data to inform decisions
  • Comfortable leveraging AI tools to accelerate research, documentation, and analysis, and curious about how AI and ML can improve data quality and product intelligence
  • A strong cross-functional collaborator who builds trust quickly and can align engineering, marketing, sales, and customer support around a shared product direction
  • Strong communicator who can explain complex tradeoffs clearly to any audience
  • Preferred: familiarity with location intelligence, GIS, address validation, or geocoding
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

What We'll Do for You
Benefits & Perks
  • Compensation range for this position is $130,000 - $160,000; compensation grows with experience and role level
  • 100% paid health, dental, and basic life insurance premiums (including family coverage)
  • Long-term disability insurance
  • Generous PTO that increases with tenure
  • 401(k) with company matching
  • Ongoing training and professional development
  • Adjustable standing desk and modern tools
  • Drinks, snacks, team lunches, and activities
  • In-office chiropractic services
  • Company retreats and trips to genuinely fun places
