WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Sr. Digital Product Development Manager leads an outsourced delivery partner who provides scalable and secure solutions that meet business needs while also serving as a hands-on technical leader who can design, build, and maintain key platform capabilities. This role partners with Product and business stakeholders to clarify outcomes, translates needs into technical plans and requirements, governs vendor delivery (scope, quality, timelines), and contributes directly through coding, code reviews, and ongoing platform support in an agile environment.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
1. Technical Delivery
  • Own delivery execution for a product area by establishing clear delivery plans, milestones, and operating cadences with cross-functional teams.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to align scope, sequencing, and tradeoffs to meet outcomes and commitments.
  • Define and maintain platform solution architecture across Automotive Cloud, Experience Cloud, and platform capabilities.
  • Establish technical standards and best practices aligned with Salesforce architecture and governance guidelines.
  • Ensure solutions are extensible, performant, and aligned with enterprise integration and data strategies
  • Contribute directly to delivery through design and coding of features, integrations, and automation as needed; maintain the ability to step in and build critical components.
  • Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to engineering standards (security, performance, maintainability, testing, documentation).
  • Partner with architects/engineers to define solution designs, APIs/integration patterns, data flows, and technical roadmaps.

2. Vendor Delivery Oversight & Governance
  • Serve as day-to-day technology owner for an outsourced delivery partner: set expectations, review plans and estimates, validate deliverables, and hold the vendor accountable for scope, quality, timelines, and documentation.
  • Translate business needs into vendor-ready requirements (epics/stories, acceptance criteria, NFRs) and ensure alignment on solution approach and definition of done.
  • Manage delivery governance including status reporting, risk/issue management, change control, and dependency coordination across internal teams and the vendor.

3. Risk Management
  • Identify, document, and proactively manage risks, impediments, cross-team dependencies, drive escalation and resolution paths.
  • Coordinate across teams/vendors to sequence integrated work and manage changes to timelines and scope.

4. Platform Maintenance & Continuous Improvement
  • Own ongoing application health: triage and resolve defects, manage technical debt, support patching/upgrades, and drive performance and reliability improvements.
  • Establish and maintain technical documentation and decision logs; ensure knowledge transfer from the vendor to internal teams.
  • Continuously improve delivery effectiveness through retrospectives, root-cause analysis, and process/tooling enhancements.

5. Stakeholder Management & Communication
  • Provide transparent, concise status reporting (delivery health, scope, risks, decisions) tailored to different audiences.
  • Facilitate alignment across business and technology stakeholders; capture decisions and manage expectations throughout delivery.

Qualifications
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
  • Minimum 8 years' progressive experience in application delivery, software engineering, technical program/delivery management, or similar roles supporting digital products.
  • Experience leading and supporting Salesforce Cloud development, including platform configuration/customization, Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and enterprise integrations.
  • Automotive or financial services industries preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Salesforce certifications are a plus.
  • Proven ability to analyze, architect, and design scalable Salesforce solutions, including process flows, workflows, and integrations with internal enterprise systems.
  • Strong experience in effective vendor management, including overseeing outsourced partners, reviewing deliverables, managing scope and timelines, and ensuring quality and comprehensive documentation.
  • Hands-on experience designing, coding, testing, and maintaining production applications (one or more modern languages/frameworks appropriate to your environment).
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC practices, agile delivery, release management, and change control.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements, solution approaches, and acceptance criteria.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including executive-ready status reporting and facilitation of decisions
  • Exceptional attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment; proactive, self-starter with strong initiative.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to successfully collaborate with cross functional departments and external partners.
  • Strong orientation toward results coupled with reputation for integrity, creativity and good judgment
  • Must have the ability to challenge, when appropriate, existing practices.
