Job description

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate injection molding machines and perform machine start-up/shutdown.
  • Run established molding programs and document process parameters.
  • Inspect, measure, trim, sand, deburr, assemble, and finish prototype parts.
  • Operate and monitor 3D printers; troubleshoot print failures.
  • Perform post-processing of printed parts (cleaning, polishing, painting, blasting).
  • Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauge pins.
  • Handle molding materials, dryers, moisture analyzers, and mold changeovers.
  • Package and ship prototype parts.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on lab equipment.
  • Follow laboratory safety procedures and standard operating procedures.

Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to view CAD models.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with model finishing or prototype finishing.
  • Exposure to injection molding or plastics manufacturing.
  • Experience operating 3D printers (SLA, DLS, DLP, PolyJet, FFF).
  • Experience using precision measurement instruments.
  • Familiarity with CAD software such as SolidWorks.

Work Schedule
  • Training: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • After Training: Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
