Who You'll Work With
This role interacts with product development and modeling teams at the outset of projects and then work will shift to working with teams on assumption setting and rate setting implementation team.
About The Role
This role is focused on the pricing and development of innovative annuity products. The person in this role will have the opportunity to work and collaborate on research and design for annuities across our Life & Retirement suite. The work consists of the implementation of assumptions and determining the risk/reward profile of the product offering through robust analysis. The work starts with baseline simplistic pricing to determine initial feasibility and then moves to sophisticated pricing model analysis.
Responsibilities
  • Price new annuity products, balancing profitability, marketability, and risk.
  • Collaborate with business partners such as product development and product management to optimize pricing with design.
  • Perform model testing to ensure that new products are implemented correctly.
  • Produce analysis that achieves buy-in from finance and risk business partners on pricing outcomes.
  • Support the development and testing of assumptions appropriate for new products.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, or other quantitative field

  • 5+ years of progressively more responsible actuarial experience with Life & Retirement Insurance products

  • Associate of the Society of Actuaries with goal of attaining FSA designation

  • Highly detailed oriented with strong analytical problem-solving skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and within a team

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office especially Access and Excel

  • Programming skill in SAS, Visual Basic, SQL, or C++ is preferred

  • Experience with modeling software is preferred

Compensation
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $110,000 to $115, 000 at the commencement of employment. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered will ultimately be dependent on multiple factors, which may include the candidate's geographic location, skills, experience and other qualifications.
In addition, the position is eligible for a discretionary bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.

Work Location
This position is based in Corebridge Financials' Houston office and is subject to our hybrid working policy, which gives colleagues the benefits of working both in an office and remotely. For the right candidate, this role can also be in our Woodland Hills, CA or Jersey City, NJ locations.
