We made history and now we work to transform the future - for our customers, our communities and our families. You'll see your work on the road every day, helping people move freely and pursue their dreams. At Ford, you can build more than vehicles. Come build what matters.
At Ford, the Vehicle Hardware Engineering teams are using Design Thinking & User Experience methods to deliver breakthrough products and services that will delight our customers. In this position...
  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot lab/test equipment and instrumentation (e.g., sensors, dynamometers, wind tunnels, cameras, and data acquisition systems) to execute daily test schedules safely and accurately.
  • Collect, process, and analyze test data, transferring results into corporate databases and reporting anomalies, failures, or facility issues to engineers and lab leadership.
  • Support test setup and equipment/fixture modifications in coordination with engineers and technical staff.

What you'll do...
  • Maintain lab documentation, procedures, and equipment inventory, and support process/efficiency improvements.
  • Interface with internal and external customers to understand test objectives and communicate results and technical data clearly.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) and quality standards.

Qualifications
You'll have...
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of relevant technical/lab experience (e.g., testing, instrumentation, purchasing/procurement support, or related hands-on technical work)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office

Even better, you may have...
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree, or actively pursuing
  • Additional lab, automotive, or test-specific experience (e.g., vibration, battery/high-voltage, engine/dynamometer, or wind tunnel testing)
  • Strong communication, organizational, and technical writing skills, with the ability to present data to varied audiences
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, taking direction from multiple stakeholders

You may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!
As an established global company, we offer the benefit of choice. You can choose what your Ford future will look like: will your story span the globe, or keep you close to home? Will your career be a deep dive into what you love, or a series of new teams and new skills? Will you be a leader, a changemaker, a technical expert, a culture builder...or all of the above? No matter what you choose, we offer a work life that works for you, including:
โ€ข Immediate medical, dental, vision and prescription drug coverage
โ€ข Flexible family care days, paid parental leave, new parent ramp-up programs, subsidized back-up child care and more
โ€ข Family building benefits including adoption and surrogacy expense reimbursement, fertility treatments, and more
โ€ข Vehicle discount program for employees and family members and management leases
โ€ข Tuition assistance
โ€ข Established and active employee resource groups
โ€ข Paid time off for individual and team community service
โ€ข A generous schedule of paid holidays, including the week between Christmas and New Year's Day
