What is a product designer internship?

A Product Designer Internship is a temporary role where interns gain hands-on experience in designing user-centered products. Interns typically work on wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs while collaborating with designers, engineers, and product managers. You’ll likely collaborate closely with senior designers, product managers, and engineers, gaining exposure to the full product development lifecycle. Many internships include opportunities to present your ideas, iterate on feedback, and contribute to team workshops or design critiques. This hands-on experience allows you to build your professional portfolio and develop problem-solving skills in a supportive, team-oriented environment.
