Job description

The Commercialization Manager position is responsible for the onboarding of new customers and products for new and current customers. The position also leads the work involved in schedules, activities and outcomes for customer-initiated projects, ensuring that projects are on time and meet internal and customer expectations. This position reports to the Vice President of Business Development.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead the onboarding of new customers by coordinating activities of cross functional teams consisting of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee the onboarding of new products for new and current customers, including the coordination of specifications, set-up of items, and intent to commercialize procedures.
  • Execute requirements in customer websites and portals involving customer master data, item data and required documentation.
  • Initiate review of customer legal documents across functions and summarize feedback for legal department.
  • Work across functions to coordinate customer inquiries, complaints, deductions, and responses.
  • Work closely with Customer Service and transportation division to ensure customer orders and shipment are consistent with quote requirements.
  • Develop standardized project schedule tools related to customer projects for internal use across all project types.
  • Work across functions to verify project schedules are on time and within scope.
  • Support necessary internal submissions where appropriate: samples, quotes, artwork submission, intent to commercialize
  • Set agendas, lead meetings, and communicate executional expectations for cross functional project teams.
  • Identify and resolve project related issues and risks.
  • Report on project progress, offer viable solutions as opportunities arise.
  • Provide project content necessary for the development of customer PowerPoint presentations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE / SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Business Management or Supply Chain
  • PMP certification a plus
  • 7+ years or more experience in project management, supply chain, and / or business development
  • Exposure to food or manufacturing environment preferred
  • Strong user of ERP software, ideally SAP
  • Strong use of Microsoft Office, Visio, PowerPoint, Excel, Word
  • Regular use of logic and critical thinking to analyze a situation
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of project management framework
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Self-starter and the ability to learn on own
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
