About The Opportunity

Monitors all aspects of a product lifecycle, including long- and short-term development and marketing. Stays abreast of trends in the marketplace to ensure the product's competitive position. Leads internal project teams while capturing market insights to determine the product lines future direction.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:


1. Manage an existing product line for assigned product(s) while responsible for product line revenue and margin targets.

2. Champion the development and introduction of new products and product line extensions to meet current and future customer needs.

3. With the support of the Sr. product manager, develop product line strategies

4. Responsible for market research, competitive tracking, quoting, and reporting financial data.

5. Support the sales force through product training and research. Be the product expert resource to support the sales team / customer.

6. Work on cost saving initiatives with the operations team.

7. Assist with product quality complaints from customers.

8. Set pricing strategy for assigned product(s).

9. Provide forecasting for assigned product line(s) and overall support of product line forecasting activities.

10. Other duties as assigned.


Education/Certification

Level Required

Bachelor's Degree

Business, Marketing, Finance or Engineering

Experience in lieu of education may be considered


Work Experience


Required

2-5 years of relevant experience

Desired

Product Management experience from within heavy industrial manufacturing, metal fabrication, - automotive packaging products, food and beverage or packaging preferred; experience in other market segments, also considered.

Travel Requirements

15-35% travel as needed to support assigned product lines, including customer sites, trade shows, sales calls and manufacturing plants.
