Job Description

The Producer is responsible for overseeing the scheduling, coordination, and project management of studio, video, and photography operations, including managing calendars, shoots, teams, and deliverables while serving as the intake lead for new projects. Reporting to the Executive Producer on the Communications team, this position will maintain and organize the photo/video library and support creative production by ensuring assets are properly captured, stored, and accessible, while assisting teams throughout the post-production and delivery process. A full-time position, this position primarily works Monday-Friday, but select projects will require work during weekend services on a case-by-case basis. Although the position is regularly Monday-Friday, ministry happens in the evenings and during the weekends. All Mariners staff are expected to work during Christmas Eve and Easter services, as well as participate in Rooted once/year. This position is exempt under the Fair Labor Standards act.


Responsibilities
Manage Studio & Video Team Calendars & Projects

  • Schedule video shoots, including securing spaces, team, resources, and talent for video shoots and podcasts both on campus and off.
  • Manage calendars and scheduling for Mariners on campus studios, including communication, craft services, and run-of-show preparation
  • Serve as the project manager for the video team and serve as the gatekeeper for the intake of new projects.
  • Deliver final products to client

Manage Photography

  • Manage, recruit, train, and schedule contract and volunteer photographers to provide coverage for church services, events, and ministry gatherings
  • Provide photographers with direction on shot lists, expectations, and Mariners brand standards
  • Ensure photo collection, organization, and archiving occurs after events so it is accessible for future use
  • Serve as a helpful point of contact for photographers before and after events

Manage Our Photo and Video Library

  • Organize and maintain Mariners' growing library of photo and video assets
  • Create and maintain clear folder structures, naming conventions, and tagging systems
  • Archive completed projects so assets remain easy to find and reuse in the future
  • Ensure files are stored properly across shared drives and internal platforms
  • Help maintain a searchable and well-organized content library for the Communications team

Support Creative Production

  • Assist editors and designers in locating and preparing media assets for projects
  • Organize footage, photos, and project files during the post-production process
  • Help manage final deliverables and archive completed work
  • Support the overall creative workflow so projects move efficiently from capture to delivery
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, media, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years of experience in project coordination, media management, or production support
  • Familiarity with digital asset management systems and file organization best practices
  • Working knowledge of photo and video file formats and production workflows
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace or similar tools; Adobe Creative Suite familiarity a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and clearly communicate expectations and coordinate across teams and volunteers
