Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Wholesale Produce Sales Representative role based in Pompano Beach, FL. The Wholesale Produce Sales Representative will build and maintain strong relationships with restaurants, caterers, and food retailers, serving as a primary point of contact for orders, product inquiries, and service needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include prospecting and acquiring new accounts, managing existing customer portfolios, conducting regular check-ins, and providing product recommendations based on seasonality, quality, and menu requirements. The role involves preparing quotes, negotiating pricing within company guidelines, entering and tracking orders, and coordinating with the operations and delivery teams to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment. The representative will also monitor market trends, gather customer feedback, and collaborate with internal teams to support promotional initiatives and continuous service improvement.

Qualifications

  • Strong sales, account management, and customer relationship skills, with the ability to develop new business and retain existing clients. *MUST HAVE A BOOK OF BUSINESS*
  • Knowledge of fresh produce, food service operations, and menu planning, or willingness to learn quickly and stay current on seasonal products.
  • Effective communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present offerings clearly and respond to customer needs promptly.
  • Solid organizational and time management skills, including experience managing schedules, follow-ups, and order documentation.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment, with attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in orders and pricing.
  • Ability to collaborate with warehouse, logistics, and administrative teams to ensure seamless customer service.
  • Proficiency with basic computer tools and CRM or order management systems.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in business, hospitality, or a related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience in wholesale, food distribution, or food service sales preferred but not mandatory.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for customer visits and local market travel.
