Main responsibilities:

  • Help oversee daily operations of the Produce Department with a focus on freshness, quality, and customer service
  • Deliver knowledgeable, friendly service and ensure associates demonstrate strong product knowledge
  • Assist with executing corporate merchandising programs, planograms, seasonal sets, and promotional displays
  • Maintain full, fresh, clean, and visually appealing produce displays at all times
  • Assist with managing product rotation, remove damaged or unsellable items, and maintain freshness standards
  • Assist with ordering, receiving, inspection, and store product following food safety and rotation guidelines
  • Help with managing shrink through inventory controls, root‑cause identification, and waste‑reduction strategies
  • Assist with building and managing labor schedules aligned with business needs
  • Assist with training, coaching, and developing produce associates while maintaining a positive team environment
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, safety, and company operational standards
  • Perform Product Department duties as needed and assume responsibility for department operations in the absence of the Produce Manager
