Purchasing Assistant – Direct Hire

At least one year of experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment is required for this Purchasing Assistant opportunity with a growing electrical control panel and equipment manufacturing company.

As a Purchasing Assistant, you will provide essential support to the purchasing manager.You will help maintain accurate records, communicate with vendors and internal teams, and support the accurate and timely ordering and processing of materials and supplies needed for daily operations.

Purchasing Assistant Duties:

  • Assist with purchasing activities, including preparing purchase orders and processing invoices and bills
  • Communicate with vendors and suppliers regarding orders, pricing, availability, and delivery timelines
  • Enter and maintain purchasing and vendor information accurately in the company’s ERP system
  • Use Microsoft Suite, Excel, Spectrum ERP, and other technology platforms to support purchasing and daily operations
  • Track orders and follow up with vendors to help ensure materials and supplies arrive on schedule
  • Maintain organized purchasing records and documentation
  • Provide professional and friendly communication with vendors, customers, and internal team members
Schedule: Monday through Friday
7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Pay:
$20–$25 per hour

Purchasing Assistant Requirements:
  • At least one year of experience in purchasing, procurement, administrative support, office management, or a related role
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Exceptional customer service and professional, friendly communication skills
  • Experience working with ERP systems and Microsoft applications, especially Excel
  • Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, suppliers, and internal departments
  • Strong follow-through and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Motivated to learn, take on new responsibilities, and grow with the company
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment
