Mercury Marine is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineering Program Manager to help deliver an exciting funnel of new/existing products. As a Program Manager, you will lead, guide, and coordinate cross-functional teams through our product development process. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Supplier Quality, this highly visible role will also focus on analytic and strategic initiatives for product development and launch initiatives for their assigned product.

Key Responsibilities:
Execute Supplier Quality activities for product development programs as part of a cross-functional team to:
  • The successful candidate will develop, lead, and drive the project schedule and monitor/report progress on all key performance metrics (schedule, scope, cost, tooling, and risk) regularly.
  • This position is an integral part of the larger Product Management team and works in alignment with the Procurement Program Manager.
  • Work collaboratively across multiple functional groups within Mercury Marine- with Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Service, Marketing, Category, and more.
  • Approach your program with an ownership mentality, including in governance, KPI, and presentations to senior leadership, while maintaining Mercury's consensus-based culture.
  • Whenever exceptions arise, you will be called upon to assess risk, manage critical decision inputs & dates, generate & execute backup plans, and communicate status and program implications.
  • Ability to manage multiple programs from small to large scope.
  • Collaborate across multiple plants to engage stakeholders if needed.
  • Coordinate program review with supplier quality Managers and engineers on a monthly basis.
  • Perform risk management analysis to mitigate risks
  • Manage the stage gate system of Mercury (HPPD) and APQP
  • Judgment: Adopts a strategic, analytical, and carefully weighted decision-making process in the evaluations of alternative scenarios
  • Is a keen listener, provides challenging/stretch assignments, encourages development, confronts and deals with performance issues effectively and delegates tasks effectively in order to develop others

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of prior experience in project/program management are required
  • Supply Chain management experience is required
  • Proven success in project management and cross-functional team leadership
  • Strong data analysis abilities and software skills, including Microsoft Excel and Power BI; proficient with Word, PowerPoint, and Project
  • Proficient with engineering prints and specifications, APQP, and PPAP processes
  • Excellent time management and organization skills; able to manage multiple ongoing projects and adapt to changing business needs
  • Positive attitude, ethics, and international values to promote a healthy, diverse, high-performance culture
  • Possess strong communication skills, including written and verbal, as well as interpersonal skills
  • Analytic and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to digest complex information and make data-driven decisions.
  • Passionate problem solver and creative thinker with ability to pitch new ideas and be open to feedback.
  • Dynamic and agile: Ability to think in a creative and strategic way but are adept at delivering operationally to ensure tasks are followed through to completion.

The hiring range for this position is $103,200 to $144,000 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary based on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate's qualifications and the business context.
In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
