Job Summary
The Sr. Site Procurement Leader role will serve as the strategic procurement oversight and subject matter expert for sourcing goods and services needs for GAF sites. They will report to the Procurement Excellence Team. This role will be a key face of procurement excellence for Indirect Procurement activities at their assigned Operating Sites. They will ensure streamlined procurement processes for their sites by collaborating proactively with their business stakeholders. Working in the center-led procurement team, they will help drive optimal cost while supporting safe operations, high quality, and leading streamlined procurement processes within their sites.
The ideal candidate puts the internal customer first, is highly collaborative, and has influential skills, aligned work experiences, and deep process knowledge of procurement (S2P business processes). They will drive procurement strategies and programs for their assigned sites while ensuring they meet productivity requirements and the needs of the businesses. This role participates in both regional and network wide procurement programs and manages local and important supplier relationships. Responsibilities include implementing effective strategies, systems, and processes to support simplification, standardization, leverage, and compliance.
Essential Duties
  • Enable the development and execution of category strategy in alignment with business strategy for specific site requirements, and ensure leveraged needs are fulfilled in alignment with the appropriate Category Manager
  • Act as a strategic thought partner for Procurement and Business leadership.
  • Collaborate with Category Managers and peers on Procurement and Supplier strategies.
  • Develop and maintain effective local and regional supplier partnerships.
  • Continuously seek to improve and manage total cost for site indirect materials.
  • Proactively develop and implement effective risk mitigation strategies for key materials.
  • Ensure site supplier compliance and enable improved performance management by upholding contractual obligations and authoring Contracts with Firm SLA's/KPI's at the site level.
  • Drives the strategy to leverage key suppliers across sites and highlight consolidation opportunities to Strategic Category Managers.
  • Lead consolidation of spend on assigned site(s) by collaborating with centralized teams across the network.
  • Provide and leverage market and competitive intelligence with other Indirect functions.
  • Lead site cross-functional collaborative efforts to streamline and better enable S2P processes.
  • In coordination with the legal department and ISC category manager guidance, develop applicable contracts and agreements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to select suppliers, negotiate and develop the best value for GAF. This includes coordinating and supporting RFPs.
  • Ensure the procurement of required services is in alignment with EHS and ISN compliance regulations.
  • Participate in cross functional team projects involving HQ to ensure value is attained through early involvement.

Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor's Degree Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, Economics, or Related Field required
  • Experience understanding and supporting the socialization and execution of strategies with clear goals and priorities.
  • 8+ years of Industrial manufacturing and/or similar experience, with 5+ years of procurement experience.
  • Demonstrated business and financial acumen.
  • Business acumen - creating, positioning, negotiating commercial arrangements to deliver competitive advantage.
  • Project Management experience with strong data analytics experience to provide data driven procurement solutions.
  • Strategic leadership skills in developing and nurturing strong working ties with site leadership and operations teams.
  • Skilled in influencing, motivating, and developing diverse teams
  • Strong negotiation skills-Experience managing and negotiating contracts to meet business needs and objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with manufacturing plant sites to resolve supply issues and implement procurement strategies.
  • Conduct spend analytics to achieve optimal TCO, reviews market intelligence, evaluates benchmarks and best practices to drive continuous improvement across supplier base.
  • Supplier Relationship Management.
  • Negotiate contracts and purchase order terms and conditions with the inclusion of Legal, Risk Management, Business leadership and Finance, as required.

Base salary and/or rate of pay ranges listed are exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. Individual compensation offers will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, relevant candidate experience and skill, education, and/or qualifications.
Base Salary Range: $80,000-$110,000
