Job description

What You’ll Do


Relate Search has partnered with a leading renewable energy developer in their search for a Procurement Manager to support utility-scale solar, wind, and battery storage projects across the United States. This role will be responsible for driving procurement strategy, supplier negotiations, and commercial execution across large capital energy projects. You will partner closely with engineering, project management, finance, legal, and development teams to ensure sourcing decisions balance cost, schedule, performance, and risk. This is an opportunity to play a critical role in delivering infrastructure that accelerates the transition to clean energy.


Responsibilities

  • Lead procurement activities across the full project lifecycle—from RFP development through contract execution—for utility-scale solar PV, BESS, and wind projects.
  • Develop and implement project procurement strategies in collaboration with EPC leadership and global category managers to optimize cost, performance, and delivery timelines.
  • Lead complex commercial negotiations with EPC, BOP, HV contractors, and major equipment suppliers while balancing cost, schedule, scope, and risk allocation.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Project Management, Construction, Finance, Legal, and Operations teams to ensure procurement strategies support successful project execution.
  • Monitor supplier markets, pricing trends, and supply chain risks while contributing to continuous improvement of procurement processes, reporting, and commercial standards.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of procurement, sourcing, or supply chain experience supporting capital projects in renewable energy, EPC, infrastructure, or utility environments.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting utility-scale solar, BESS, or wind projects, including negotiating EPC, BOP, or HV contracts.
  • Strong understanding of CAPEX/OPEX drivers, total cost of ownership, and commercial risk allocation in large infrastructure projects.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across engineering, finance, legal, and operations teams.
