As we continue to grow, we are seeking an analytical & detail-oriented Pricing Analyst to support pricing strategy, purchasing analytics, cost optimization, & data-driven decision-making across our organization.
Position Summary
The Pricing Analyst is responsible for analyzing product, vendor, purchasing, & pricing data to identify cost-saving opportunities, improve procurement strategies, & support business decisions. This role partners closely with Purchasing & other cross-functional teams to develop reporting processes, monitor key performance indicators, evaluate performance, & translate complex data into actionable recommendations.
The ideal candidate is analytical, technically proficient, & business-minded with strong quantitative skills and the ability to identify trends, improve processes, & clearly communicate data-driven insights.
Key Responsibilities
Pricing, Purchasing & Cost Analysis
  • Analyze product, vendor, purchasing, & pricing data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, & areas for improvement
  • Evaluate product costs, vendor performance, alternative products, & sourcing opportunities to support purchasing decisions
  • Identify & quantify opportunities to improve margins, procurement strategies, & overall cost performance
  • Analyze transportation & supply chain costs to identify opportunities for operational efficiencies
  • Develop recommendations based on quantitative analysis & clearly communicate findings to stakeholders

Reporting & Performance Analytics
  • Develop & maintain daily, weekly, & monthly reporting around key business metrics & KPIs
  • Measure performance against established targets & benchmarks
  • Analyze large data sets to identify trends, discrepancies, & business opportunities
  • Standardize reporting processes, inputs, & outputs to improve accuracy & departmental efficiency
  • Translate complex data into meaningful insights & actionable business recommendations

Process Improvement & Cross-Functional Support
  • Identify opportunities to optimize purchasing, pricing, reporting, & supply chain processes
  • Develop & maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to analytical & reporting processes
  • Partner with Purchasing, Finance, Supply Chain, Logistics, & Operations to investigate business questions & develop solutions
  • Support implementation of new reporting tools, analytical methodologies, & process improvements
  • Assist with ad hoc analytical projects & initiatives designed to improve departmental performance

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field
  • Previous experience as a Pricing, Financial, Business, Data, Supply Chain Analyst, or similar analytical role
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience analyzing data & developing quantitative or financial reports
  • Strong analytical, organizational, & problem-solving skills
  • Ability to translate data into actionable business recommendations
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities & collaborate effectively across departments

Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of VBA and/or Python
  • Experience with data cleaning, validation, & preparation
  • Basic understanding of relational databases
  • Familiarity with accounting principles & financial terminology
  • Experience with purchasing, procurement, pricing, or supply chain analytics
  • Experience in wholesale, distribution, retail, or another high-volume environment
