Position: Senior Buyer
Location: Onsite in Whitehall, MI
Salary: 70,000-90,000
Senior Buyer Position Summary

Our client is seeking a Buyer to support plant procurement operations and supplier management activities. This role works closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to drive cost savings, improve supplier performance, support sourcing initiatives, and ensure efficient procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities for Senior Buyer
  • Support procurement strategies, sourcing initiatives, and supplier performance management.
  • Assist with cost analysis, benchmarking, RFQs/RFPs, and business case development.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve purchasing, invoicing, delivery, and operational issues.
  • Support procurement reporting, audits, compliance activities, and process improvements.
  • Participate in supplier meetings, negotiations, and performance reviews.
  • Develop and maintain procurement tools, templates, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Production teams to ensure uninterrupted supply and timely issue resolution.
  • Help manage purchase orders and support purchase-to-pay activities.
  • Monitor future business needs and assist in identifying alternate sourcing opportunities.
Qualifications for Senior Buyer

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, or a related field.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
