Position Summary

Our client, a global manufacturing organization, is seeking a Procurement Buyer to join its plant-level procurement team. Reporting to the Plant Procurement Lead, this role supports both strategic and operational procurement activities, including cost savings initiatives, supplier performance management, transactional execution, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational discipline, excellent communication skills, and a solutions-oriented mindset to a fast-paced plant environment.

  • Communicates with suppliers on operational topics; supports negotiations and RFQ/RFP processes in alignment with Strategic Buyers
  • Participates in supplier meetings as needed
  • Liaises with Financial Shared Services to resolve purchase-to-pay issues
  • Supports buyer/planners and operations staff in executing purchase orders, resolving AP issues, and supplier communications
  • Interfaces with Shipping, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Quality to ensure timely resolution of cross-functional issues
  • Ensures adherence to global procedures, quality standards, and departmental policies
  • Resolves issues related to direct materials, services, raw material quality, quantity verification, and delivery in support of production demands

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain, or a related field
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available

Preferred

  • Prior experience in procurement, with an emphasis on purchase-to-pay operations
  • Technical understanding of manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Proficiency in data mining and software applications
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
