Job description

A global client is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to support the ongoing development of its procurement and vendor management function. Working closely with senior stakeholders, this role will play a key part in supplier management, strategic sourcing, contract lifecycle management, procurement operations and cost optimisation initiatives.


The successful candidate will bring strong procurement expertise, ideally within a complex corporate environment, along with experience managing technology-related spend, supplier negotiations and procurement systems.


This is a hybrid role offering the opportunity to work with senior business leaders and external suppliers across a large, international organisation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the subject matter expert for the organisation's procurement platform, supporting deployment, adoption and continuous improvement.
  • Manage procurement processes covering contract lifecycle management, procure-to-pay activities and supplier onboarding.
  • Support the development and implementation of procurement strategies, policies and procedures aligned with business objectives.
  • Identify, evaluate and onboard suppliers, negotiating commercial agreements and ensuring quality, value and compliance.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, monitoring performance and resolving issues where required.
  • Oversee contract management activities from supplier selection through negotiation, execution and renewal.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and legal teams to review and negotiate contractual terms and conditions.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with legal, regulatory and ethical standards.
  • Analyse spend data to identify cost reduction opportunities, efficiency gains and process improvements.
  • Assess and manage procurement-related risks, including supplier performance, compliance and data security concerns.
  • Produce reports, insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making by senior leadership.


Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain or vendor management.
  • Experience operating within a professional services, corporate or highly regulated environment is advantageous.
  • Strong experience with procurement technology platforms, particularly around implementation, adoption and optimisation.
  • Proven ability to build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Demonstrated success in negotiation, problem solving and influencing business decisions.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive informed decision-making.
  • Knowledge of contract management principles and supplier governance practices.
  • Familiarity with IT procurement and technology service agreements would be beneficial.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
