Job Overview:
Job Summary**
The Procurement Specialist I is responsible for supporting the procurement process for Primoris Energy Services in Sherman, Texas. This entry-level role involves assisting with purchasing activities, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services necessary for operations.
Job Responsibilities**
* Assist in the preparation and processing of purchase orders and requisitions.
* Source new vendors and suppliers, and maintain a database of approved vendors.
* Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers for standard materials and services under supervision.
* Track and expedite orders to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any delivery discrepancies.
* Communicate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and specifications.
* Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier information.
* Assist in conducting market research to identify new products, services, and potential cost savings.
* Collaborate with accounts payable to resolve invoice discrepancies.
* Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
* Participate in inventory management activities as required.
Job Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
* 0-2 years of experience in procurement or a related supply chain role.
