# Sr. Global Sourcing Leader**Job Summary**Establishes and leads cross functional commodity teams to create and implement value optimizing supply strategies for assigned commodity/commodities. Works with project teams to identify sources and negotiate price and delivery for new components. Ultimately responsible for the supply relationship within the assigned commodity/commodities. Travels as required for the successful completion of duties. **Primary Duties and Responsibilities*** (20%) A proven ability to drive lower costs through regional/global consolidation.* (10%) Considerable knowledge of sources of supply, markets, price, and commodity trends, with the ability to accurately predict marketplace events and develop both long-range strategy and short-term contingency plans.* (20%) Strong strategic supplier management skills.* (10%) Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to make presentations and influence people at all levels of the organization, including upper management.* (10%) The ability to manage multiple projects and activities that often have competing priorities.* (10%) Selects & Develops suppliers into strategic partners bringing value & innovation to the supply chain.* (5%) Performs and Manages Competitive bidding process, Make vs Buy analysis.* (5%) Evaluate, measure and report Supplier performance metrics and scorecards.* (5%) Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel & Outlook.* (5%) The ability to travel up to 25% of the time**Education and Experience Profile*** Bachelorโ€™s Degree in business or technical field or equivalent experience.
