Head of Air - Procurement & Distribution

We're looking for a strategic and commercially driven Head of Air - Procurement & Distribution to lead Ignites' air strategy. This role focuses on securing competitive airline partnerships, improving margins, and optimising distribution across GDS, NDC, and API platforms.

You'll ensure air content is fully integrated across our products, supporting scalable growth, operational efficiency, and a seamless customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and deliver the air procurement and distribution strategy
  • Negotiate airline deals and drive margin improvement
  • Manage strategic airline and distribution partnerships
  • Oversee GDS, NDC, and API performance and integrations
  • Collaborate with Product and Tech teams to enhance air capabilities
  • Drive product integration across Ignite divisions
  • Lead training, documentation, and compliance for air processes

Key Competencies & Qualities:

  • Strong expertise in air procurement, airline contracts, and leisure travel distribution
  • Proven negotiation skills with a track record of delivering commercial outcomes
  • Solid knowledge of Amadeus systems, including Robotic processes, queue management, Smartflows, NDC, and APIs
