What is the role?

The Procurement Manager - Drug and Device/Drug Combination Products is a strategically focused role within Procurement & Supply Chain, responsible for developing and executing sourcing and supplier strategies for pharmaceutical products, including device-drug combination categories. The role partners closely with Technical, Quality, Supply Chain, and internal/external consultants to translate regulatory and product requirements into resilient, compliant, and cost-effective supply chain solutions, while progressively taking on hands‑on operational execution.

What are the key responsibilities?
  • Develop and own category and supplier strategies for pharmaceutical and device-drug combination products.
  • Establish end-to-end supply risk visibility, mitigation plans, and long‑term sourcing roadmaps.
  • Lead supplier segmentation, market analysis, and sourcing strategy development.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key pharma, device, and contract manufacturing partners.
  • Partner with Technical and Quality teams to integrate specifications, validation, and lifecycle requirements into sourcing decisions.
  • Design logistics and supply strategies aligned with regulatory, quality, and compliance standards.
  • Lead commercial negotiations, contracting, and ongoing supplier relationship management.
  • Manage supplier performance across quality, delivery, service, cost, and compliance dimensions.
  • Support logistics execution, inventory planning, and resolution of operational supply issues.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across procurement and supply chain activities.
What education and experience are required?
  • Experience with device-drug combination products or complex, multi-component regulated products.
  • Exposure to global category strategy development and multi-year sourcing roadmaps.
  • Experience working with contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs/CDMOs).
  • Familiarity with pharma logistics, cold chain, or controlled supply flows.
  • Advanced degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field.

  • Proven procurement or strategic sourcing experience within pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or similarly regulated industries.
