Over 300 of the world's largest companies protect more than $10 trillion in annual spend with the apexanalytix platform — powered by Private Generative AI, 350M+ golden supplier records, and integrated global data sources.

Founded in 1988 and backed by KKR, apexanalytix delivers touchless supplier onboarding, automated risk management, overpayment prevention, fraud detection, and accounts payable recovery audit services — and we're now bringing this transformative capability to the public sector.

OPPORTUNITY

As SVP of Government, you will own and drive apexanalytix's full go-to-market strategy and operations for the federal, state, and local government sectors. This is a greenfield leadership opportunity to build and scale a high-impact vertical within a proven enterprise software and services platform. You will define the strategy, assemble the team, cultivate key relationships, and deliver results — operating as a true owner of this business line.

WHY APEXANALYTIX
  • Join a high-growth company with a 35+ year track record and category-defining technology
  • Greenfield opportunity to build a strategic vertical with full executive support
  • Competitive base salary plus commission plan and equity participation
  • Collaborative, high-performance culture that values your voice and rewards outcomes
  • Remote-flexible work environment with a strong team community
WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive government sector go-to-market strategy, including federal civilian, defense, and SLED (state, local, and education) segments
  • Identify and prioritize the highest-value opportunities across procurement, accounts payable, financial management, and supplier risk within government agencies
  • Define the competitive positioning of apexanalytix's platform for government buyers and procurement officers
  • Shape product and solution roadmap feedback to ensure the platform meets government-specific requirements (FedRAMP, FAR/DFARS compliance, data residency, etc.)
  • Own the full P&L for the government business, with direct accountability for revenue growth, cost management, and margin performance
  • Build and lead a team of government-focused sales executives, business development representatives, and solution consultants
  • Personally engage at the senior executive and agency leadership level to win large, strategic deals
  • Develop and manage a robust partner and channel ecosystem, including GSA schedule holders, systems integrators, and government-focused resellers
Relationships & Stakeholder Management
  • Establish and maintain executive-level relationships across target agencies, key oversight bodies, and relevant government associations
  • Represent apexanalytix at government procurement forums, industry days, and conferences
  • Work closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure all sales practices and contractual vehicles align with government procurement regulations
Organizational Leadership
  • Recruit, develop, and retain a best-in-class government sales and solutions team
  • Foster a culture consistent with the apex Way — performance-driven, candid, collaborative, and customer-obsessed
  • Provide regular business reporting and strategic updates to the CEO and executive leadership team
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
  • 15+ years of enterprise software or technology services sales experience, with at least 8 years focused exclusively on the government sector (federal and/or SLED)
  • Demonstrated track record of building and scaling a government vertical from early stages to significant revenue contribution
  • Deep familiarity with government procurement vehicles (GSA Schedules, BPAs, IDIQs, OTAs) and regulatory frameworks (FAR, DFARS, FedRAMP)
  • Experience selling complex, multi-stakeholder SaaS or analytics solutions with long sales cycles into CFO, CPO, or financial management offices
  • Existing senior-level relationships within federal agencies and/or large SLED entities
  • Strong people leadership skills with experience managing quota-carrying government sales teams
  • Ability to translate complex technical capabilities into clear, mission-aligned value propositions for government buyers
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
