Job description

HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE:

A Procurement Specialist fills a remote role in MountainSeed’s Procurement Department. The Procurement Specialist will contribute by supporting the Procurement Manager with the responsibility of providing procurement technical advice to banks in conjunction with agreed procurement strategies and monitoring day-to-day appraisal orders. The role involves extensive verbal and written communication while working in a fast-paced environment.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU’LL GET TO:

  • Build and maintain relationships with a dedicated list of clients
  • Attend client onboarding meetings and offer sound advice to new clients
  • Provide world-class customer service to all clients, vendors, and co-workers
  • Participate in client calls or client meetings as requested by the client
  • Work closely with the Customer Success Team to communicate information about the client
  • Provide accurate and timely responses to clients and appraiser messages and questions
  • Escalate difficult, complex, or unusual assignments to the Procurement Manager
  • Review each new order for clarity and completeness, and obtain additional information from the financial institution as needed
  • Select and assign appraisers based on policies and procedures.
  • Assist team members with orders as needed
  • Adhere to all Procurement processes and procedure
  • Respond to bid questions from the client or appraiser
  • Review and deliver bids to the clients
  • Request required documents or information necessary to facilitate the appraisal order.
  • Source appraisal bids for complex orders as needed
  • Follow up with appraisers as needed to ensure timely delivery of reports
  • Pass on all appraiser updates to the clients in a timely manner, as appropriate
  • Attend weekly team meetings

THIS OPPORTUNITY IS FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE/ARE:

  • Appraisal experience working or financial institutions and/or real-estate appraisal ordering experience from a financial institution
  • Certified General appraiser license is preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of valuation methods, techniques and forms including an understanding of property rights (i.e., fee simple, leased fee, and leasehold)
  • Knowledge of, and experience working with USPAP (Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice) and the myriad of laws, rules, regulations, and guidelines governing the appraisal valuation process at financial institutions, including the primary federal financial institution regulators’ regulations and guidelines, as well as state appraisal and appraisal-management-company statutes and board rules 
  • Proactive client-service mentality and desire to deliver first-class service to clients
  • Attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills, and efficiency in responding to written messages through a computer system.
  • Affinity for working in a fast-paced environment with continuous focus on self- and company-improvement 
  • Technological literacy and mastery of navigating standard office software
