IT Asset & Procurement Coordinator (ServiceNow) – Part Time - 5525

Location: 100% Remote (any time zone)
Duration: Contract through End of Year (~310 hours)
Schedule: Approximately 20 hours/week (potential for full-time hours depending on business needs)

Target pay: $35-45/hr

Position Overview

Tier4 Group is seeking an organized and detail-oriented IT Procurement & ServiceNow Coordinator to support a busy IT Asset Management and Order Fulfillment team. This role will focus on processing IT hardware requests, coordinating with internal customers, supporting procurement activities, maintaining ServiceNow tickets, and helping the team reduce a backlog of equipment orders.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in IT operations, service desk support, IT procurement, asset management, or ticket-based workflow environments.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, communicates well with end users, can manage multiple open requests simultaneously, and is comfortable working in ServiceNow or a similar ticketing system.

Key Responsibilities

IT Hardware Request Coordination

  • Review and process incoming hardware and peripheral requests submitted through ServiceNow.
  • Verify request details and ensure all required information is complete and accurate.
  • Contact end users to obtain missing information or clarify hardware requirements.
  • Coordinate fulfillment activities for laptops, monitors, headsets, keyboards, mice, and other IT-related equipment.
  • Work with internal teams to move requests through the fulfillment lifecycle.

Procurement & Vendor Support

  • Prepare hardware orders for submission to approved vendors.
  • Support purchasing activities with vendors such as Dell, SHI, Insight, and other approved suppliers.
  • Track open orders and follow up on delivery status, backorders, and shipment updates.
  • Assist with purchase order and procurement documentation.
  • Support order placement activities as permitted by company policies and procedures.

ServiceNow Ticket Management

  • Maintain accurate and timely updates within ServiceNow.
  • Ensure tickets are assigned, documented, and progressed according to established service-level expectations.
  • Communicate order status and fulfillment updates through customer-facing ticket notes.
  • Monitor open requests and follow through to completion.
  • Escalate issues, delays, or missing information when appropriate.

Customer Communication

  • Serve as a point of contact for employees requesting IT equipment.
  • Communicate professionally with users across all levels of the organization, including leadership and VIP stakeholders.
  • Provide timely updates regarding order status, delays, shipping information, and fulfillment progress.
  • Utilize ServiceNow, Microsoft Teams, email, and other communication tools to resolve requests efficiently.

Documentation & Data Accuracy

  • Maintain accurate records of procurement and fulfillment activities.
  • Ensure ticket documentation remains complete, current, and audit-ready.
  • Support inventory, purchasing, and fulfillment reporting activities as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience working in ServiceNow or another IT ticketing/service management platform.
  • Experience supporting IT operations, service desk, asset management, procurement, order fulfillment, or related functions.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple requests and priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
