Job description

Seeking a Low Voltage QA/Security Cx Associate to provide Owner Representation on the construction of a data center campus.

Minimum Qualifications:
- A four-year degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- In lieu of a degree, equivalent field experience in low voltage systems installation and supervision will be considered.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in low voltage infrastructure, including cable tray, conduit, and equipment installation.
- Experience supporting mission critical or high-tech construction projects.
- Familiarity with security, network/WAP, and controls cabling systems.
- Experience with commissioning processes, including script assignment and documentation in platforms such as Cx Alloy.
- Strong understanding of installation quality standards, labeling protocols, and clean workmanship practices.
- Proficiency in construction management software such as Procore or Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
- Excellent communication and coordination skills across disciplines and vendors.
- Ability to manage punch list resolution and ensure timely corrective actions.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Field Oversight & Inspection
- Conduct field inspections to verify that low voltage systems installation is progressing according to schedule.
- Assess installation quality to ensure compliance with design documents.
- Document findings using platforms such as Procore or Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and follow up to
confirm completion of corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Q-Systems support to provide onsite oversight, direction, and coordination across disciplines.
Pathways
- Oversee installation of Outside Plant (OSP) and Inside Plant (ISP) pathways.
- Monitor base building low voltage cable tray installation.
- Inspect conduit rough-in for compliance and readiness.
- Ensure network rooms are prepared for equipment installation and meet design specifications.
Low Voltage Cable & Equipment Installation
Oversee installation of cabling for:
- Security systems
- Network and Wireless Access Points (WAP)
- Controls systems
Verify installation of equipment per design for:
- Security systems
- Network and WAP infrastructure
- Building Management System (BMS) and Emergency Power Supply (EMPS) controls
Physical Inspection
- Confirm proper installation of devices and equipment.
- Ensure labeling is accurate and workmanship is clean and professional.
Commissioning (Cx) Support
- Coordinate and monitor commissioning efforts for security systems.
- Assign commissioning scripts to equipment within Cx Alloy.
- Witness commissioning activities and document results in Cx Alloy.
- Track and follow up on punch list items to ensure resolution and path to completion.
