Job description

The ProcessingSupervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities ofemployees engaged in the receipt, storage, process, and package of nickel alloymetal products at Corrosion Materials (CMI).

Responsibilities and Duties

As aminimum, the following is a basic description of typical duties andresponsibilities expected by the Processing Supervisor. These duties are notexhaustive and are subject to change as the needs of the organization require.

  • Workclosely with the Operations Manager to ensure operational tasks, objectives,and goals are achieved.
  • Superviseand evaluate the performance, development, and training of processing staff.
  • Studyproduction schedules and estimate work requirements for completion of jobassignments.
  • Interpretspecifications, blueprints, and job orders for processing staff and assignduties accordingly.
  • Establishor adjust work procedures to meet production schedules, using knowledge ofcapacities of machines and equipment.
  • Recommendmeasures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality ofproduct, and suggest changes in working conditions and equipment to increaseefficiency of processing department.
  • Maintainaccountability of inventory processed through reports and cycle counts.
  • Uselabor time reports to improve efficiency of processing staff and decrease idletime.
  • Monitororder processing to maximize material yield and minimize scrap.
  • Developideas for continued upgrading of manufacturing procedures and equipment.
  • Maintainaccountability of tooling and supplies used in the processing department.
  • Lead,coach, and train processing staff in quality systems and continuous improvementinitiatives to meet and exceed CMI metrics.
  • Fillin where needed within the processing department to ensure timely shipments oforders.
  • Adhereto all CMI safety rules, regulations, and quality standards.
  • Adhereto all CMI handbook policies and procedures.

 Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Threeto five years of supervisory warehouse experience
  • Strongwork ethic; self-motivated
  • Operatewith high integrity and ensure same standards from subordinates
  • Abilityto motivate, train, and develop employees
  • Abilityto create a culture of continuous improvement with forward thinking
  • Excellentwritten and oral communication skills
