Job description

Shift: 2nd
Facility: Solon, Ohio
Position Summary:
At this level, an Independent Process Operator can perform more complex process changeovers, including troubleshooting. They can recognize and solve some non-routine problems.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Performs & meets the requirements of all previous skill sets.
  • Troubleshoot and perform low level maintenance
  • Ability to use machine controls necessary to perform set-ups and make process adjustments (if required)
  • Identifies quality issues and determines root cause, completes QN's and segregates parts with defects.
  • Use the schedule to make decisions and manage order flow- ADD to JLG Guide
  • Complete routine set-ups independently within the targeted time.
  • Notify supervision if capacity requirements are not being met
  • Able to transfer chemicals to the appropriately labeled container.
  • Knows how to identify & label chemicals, using the appropriate Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
  • Able to identify the size, material, and configuration by the part number

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Required:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Processing experience preferred or related job aptitude (e.g. ability to troubleshoot and follow instructions)
  • Able to read and follow standard work instructions
  • Recognize functional and cosmetic defects.
  • Applicant must be able to multi-task and prioritize.

Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
  • Must be able to lift boxes on a regular basis weighing 35 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
  • Considerable stooping and bending is required.
  • Must be able to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (i.e. safety boots, face shield, plastic aprons, safety glasses, rubber or latex gloves.)
  • Can work on their feet per work center requirements
  • May be required to pass pre-employment and annual Vision Acuity tests
