Apply for this full-time permanent position as a Specimen Processing Supervisor with a top facility in Charlotte, North Carolina!

The role is responsible for overseeing laboratory operations within a specific area of the lab. This includes optimizing resources, financial performance, growth, safety, team mate engagement, and quality. The individual ensures alignment with corporate strategies and initiatives while maintaining strong collaboration with internal laboratory leaders and business partners.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with pathologists and leadership to support clinical and safety initiatives.
  • Oversees efficient lab operations and acts as a liaison to lab leadership.
  • Maintains competency in processes and serves as a subject matter expert.
  • Develops and implements performance improvement processes to enhance patient and employee satisfaction.
  • Leads the implementation of standards and systems to improve quality, efficiency, and timeliness.
  • Ensures compliance with all regulations and accreditation requirements (e.g., CLIA, CAP, OSHA, FDA, The Joint Commission).
  • Maintains effective communication and collaborates with leadership to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Manages specimen processing, staffing, and resource utilization.
  • Handles human resources tasks, including interviewing, promotions, development, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution.
  • Ensures adherence to ethical conduct and compliance with relevant policies and laws.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree.  
Experience: 3 years of experience in lab operations or specimen management.
