We are seeking an experienced Small Business Hard Money Loan Processor to manage business-purpose loan files from application through funding. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in coordinating with borrowers, brokers, underwriters, title companies, attorneys, and other parties to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely closings.
Responsibilities
  • Manage loan files from application through underwriting, closing, funding, and post-closing.
  • Review loan applications for completeness, accuracy, and eligibility.
  • Collect, verify, and organize borrower and business documentation.
  • Analyze borrower financial information, including cash flow, debt, liquidity, credit, collateral, and repayment ability.
  • Calculate key metrics such as debt-service coverage ratio, debt to income ratio, LTV, and CLTV.
  • Order title reports, insurance, lien searches, background checks, and other third-party reports.
  • Identify missing documentation and submit complete loan packages to underwriting.
  • Communicate loan conditions and follow up with borrowers and brokers to satisfy outstanding requirements.
  • Coordinate closings with title companies, escrow officers, attorneys, and insurance providers.
  • Review closing documents and confirm all approval conditions are met before funding.
  • Maintain accurate records in the loan origination system, CRM, and document management platform.
  • Track loan pipelines and ensure deadlines and closing dates are met.
  • Follow company policies and lending regulations, including fraud prevention and compliance requirements.
  • Assist with post-closing activities, including trailing documents, collateral files, recorded instruments, payoff requests, collections, reconveyances, and construction draw administration.
Qualifications
  • Minimum two years of loan processing experience, preferably in private lending, hard money, or small-business lending.
  • Experience processing business-purpose loans such as fix-and-flip, bridge, rental property, commercial real estate, working capital, or equipment-secured loans.
  • Knowledge of business entities, including LLCs, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and personal guarantees.
  • Experience coordinating multi-state transactions.
  • Understanding of asset-based underwriting, title, liens, insurance, appraisals, and closing requirements.
  • Familiarity with fraud prevention, and lending compliance standards.
  • Experience working with brokers, borrowers, title companies, and closing attorneys.
  • Knowledge of construction draws, inspections, budgets, lien waivers, and disbursement tracking is preferred.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, loan origination systems, CRM software, and electronic document management.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines while handling confidential information professionally.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Notary and/or NMLS license preferred but not required.
