YSCHEDULE

Monday - Friday, 6:30am-3pm

JOB SUMMARY

Cresco Labs is seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Processing Supervisor to lead daily post-harvest processing activities in our trim room specifically at our Lincoln, IL facility. This role is responsible for supervising a team of processing agents/leads and ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all internal procedures and regulatory standards. The Processing Supervisor will support quality control processes, scheduling, training, and productivity tracking across the team, reporting directly to site leadership.

CORE JOB DUTIES 

  • Own daily throughput targets and quality standards across all output streams tracked on the production board (UF, PC, trim, extract, waste). 
  • Enforce the trim specification for each product type, including tightness, stem and leaf removal, and handling requirements by grade. 
  • Inspect finished output throughout the shift and reject or rework material that does not meet specification before it leaves the room. 
  • Monitor yield by lot, investigate variance from expected recovery, and report unexplained results to management the same day. 
  • Train and coach team members on procedures, safety standards, and quality expectations. 
  • Perform initial bulk QC inspection of batches 
  • Report quality issues to Quality and Facility leadership.  
  • Monitor productivity and ensure processing tasks are completed within established timeframes. 
  • Maintain accurate records through Canix or other facility tracking systems. 
  • Approve timecards, manage shift coverage, and support scheduling adjustments. 
  • Verify accurate weighing and logging of material 
  • Collaborate with facilities teams to ensure appropriate environmentals and product storage conditions. 
  • Ensure a clean and sanitary work environment across all post-harvest areas, including hallways, trim room, and processing spaces. 
  • Ensure that all functions are performed to the highest standard of quality and compliance 
  • Operate or train on specialized remediation equipment such as RS420 as needed. 
  • Oversee product remediation activities in preparation for third-party testing and maintain accurate documentation. 
  • Support hiring efforts for the department, including interviewing, onboarding, and training new team members. 
  • Identify and address personnel issues and contribute to a positive and productive team environment. 
  • Promote a culture of compliance, safety, and continuous improvement. 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS 

  • Two years of experience in a position with supervisory/managerial responsibilities with demonstrated experience managing agents and operations. 
  • 2-3 years of experience in a production, food manufacturing, or similar environment; cannabis experience preferred but not required. 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) accurately. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and credibly with direct reports, peers, leadership, and outside stakeholders. 
  • Effective time-management skills and ability to multi-task 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing and challenging environment. 
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn internal tracking systems and compliance platforms. 
  • Requires work around plant material, which could include exposure to plant pollen and/or dust. 
  • Requires ability to sit, stand, kneel, and/or do repetitive actions with your hands for long periods of time.  
  • Requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs to torso level.
