Job description

Overview
The Event Server is responsible for servicing and anticipating each guest's needs.

Responsibilities
  • Understands Steps of Service.
  • Checks ID's to determine guest's legal age and upholds all state and local liquor laws (if applicable).
  • Rings orders into POS system and communicates additional information to bartenders and cooks.
  • Ensure proper cash, credit card, and gift card processing procedures.
  • Meets company time standards for greeting guests, getting drink/food orders and processing payments.
  • Ensures all food and drinks are within company standards of quality and freshness.
  • Observes and responds to guests.
  • Handles guest comments in a professional manner and gets management when necessary.
  • Cleans as you go, clears plates and glasses throughout the meal (pre-bus).
  • Follows food safety and general sanitation.
  • Has a working knowledge of the food menu
  • Has a working knowledge of all beverages offered.
  • Refills beverages when necessary.
  • Completes all daily, opening and closing side work. Gets checked out by management before leaving the building.
  • Sets up for events by putting out chairs, tables, stage, tablecloths, bars, and place settings, etc.; arranging table placement and setting up a buffet.
  • Tears down by storing equipment and materials neatly.
  • Performs all cleaning tasks including vacuuming, emptying trash, etc.
  • Provides friendly and competent customer service.
  • Reports for work in a timely manner when scheduled.

When under the age of 19:
  • May not sell, serve or handle alcoholic beverages.

Additional Job Duties:
  • Assists with other duties, as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Able to work the POS system efficiently.
  • Ability to listen to guests, respond verbally and interact with Team Members.
  • Ability to read, write and perform math skills.
  • Must possess a positive, enthusiastic attitude.
  • Must be flexible with the ability to adapt to change when required.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills.
  • Must be well groomed and follow the company uniform standard.
  • Must be able to work holidays and weekends.
  • Must have reliable transportation and phone.
  • Must be able to communicate in English. - IF APPLICABLE
  • Able and willing to deliver friendly, courteous, and prompt customer service.
  • Able and willing to work cooperatively with other team members.
