Our Purpose

To make a difference by serving guests with genuine hospitality, great food, and exceptional service. As a Server, you'll create memorable dining experiences by delivering outstanding service, building meaningful connections with guests, and providing knowledgeable recommendations from both the Applebee's and IHOP menus.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Welcome guests with a friendly, engaging attitude and provide attentive service throughout their dining experience.
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately, answer guest questions, and make recommendations from both the Applebee's and IHOP menus.
  • Deliver food and beverages promptly while ensuring order accuracy and presentation standards are met.
  • Create a warm, welcoming atmosphere by anticipating guest needs and responding promptly to requests.
  • Enter guest orders accurately into the point-of-sale system and communicate effectively with the kitchen and bar.
  • Present guest checks, process payments accurately, and complete all cash and credit card transactions.
  • Assist with clearing, cleaning, and resetting tables to maintain an inviting dining environment.
  • Support fellow team members to ensure an exceptional guest experience throughout the restaurant.
Qualifications
  • A genuine desire to care for others while growing and learning.
  • Positive attitude with a passion for hospitality.
  • Ability to learn and confidently describe both Applebee's and IHOP menu offerings, promotions, and beverage selections.
  • Reading, writing, basic math, verbal communication, and cash-handling skills.
  • Mobility required throughout the entire shift.
  • Ability to transport food, beverages, plates, glasses, and service items throughout the restaurant multiple times during a shift.
  • Ability to transport glass racks and beverage cases weighing up to 25 pounds as needed.
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness by wiping tables, booths, chairs, and picking up debris throughout the restaurant.
Physical Requirements

This position requires regular physical activity throughout each shift. Team members must be able to:

  • Move throughout the restaurant and communicate effectively with guests and team members.
  • Frequently handle and grasp items weighing up to 5 pounds.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move items weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Bend, stoop, reach, and stand for extended periods.
  • Maintain adequate vision to assess cleanliness and operate touchscreen point-of-sale systems.
