Location: Ankeny, IA

Tribute Eatery & Bar is a vibrant full service restaurant in Ankeny, IA known for crave worthy comfort food, craft cocktails, and a welcoming, high energy atmosphere. As a growing local favorite, we take pride in creating an experience that both our guests and our team enjoy every day.

As a Server, you will be the face of the guest experience, providing attentive and friendly service while ensuring every visit is memorable.

Starting Pay for fully trained Servers: $4.35 per hour + tips, tipped out nightly.

Schedule: Part time weekday evenings and weekends, with Sunday availability preferred

Full-time Benefits: Available for all full-time employees who work on average 30 hours per week or more.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and seat guests promptly, providing menus and offering a warm welcome.
  • Present menu items and daily specials, providing recommendations as needed.
  • Take accurate food and drink orders and enter them into the point-of-sale system.
  • Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Anticipate guest needs and ensure a high level of service throughout their dining experience.
  • Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism and ensure issues are resolved promptly.
  • Ensuring that tables, chairs, and dining areas are clean and well-organized. Assisting with resetting tables for the next guests.
  • Process payments, provide accurate bills, and manage the checkout process efficiently.
  • Complete assigned opening and closing duties, including sidework, cleaning, and stocking.
  • Complying with health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
  • Juggling the responsibilities of serving multiple tables at once, ensuring all guests are attended to without long waits.
  • Assisting other servers, host, bar, or kitchen staff during busy shifts to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Prior experience as a server or in a customer service role preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift trays of food or drinks.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage safety practices is a plus.
  • IPACT certification required, or the ability to obtain certification within 30 days of employment.
