Position: Server

Schedule: 

Part-time: 16-20 hours per week

Full-time: 40 hours per week

Pay: Starting at $17.10 dollars per hour

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Server is responsible for table service in the Community dining rooms.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Set tables and maintain workstations in proper order. 
  • Takes orders, provides service and requested items both graciously and courteously. 
  • Clears dishes from tables during and after meal service. 
  • Answer pertinent questions about menu items.
  • Correctly enters orders into the POS system while charging the correct resident.
  • Setup and breakdown functions and events.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively. 
  • Experience waiting tables in a hotel, restaurant or club with fine dining preferred; will train. 
  • Ability to interpret and explain menus, refer or answer questions, coordinate meal service processes, and understand special requests. 
  • Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor, and peers.
  • Requires courtesy, tact and graciousness.
