ABOUT THE ROLE

The Process Server’s purpose at Gemini is to effectively manage their schedule, expenses, territory and workload by creating the most efficient routes each day based on appointments and priority of certain orders. Each Process Server ensures the timely and accurate uploads of daily work assignments, reviews materials, processes work assignments in a timely fashion, maintains accurate and complete paperwork, maintains equipment’s accuracy and functionality, and abides by the rules and regulations required for service of process in California. As a member of the Civil department, the Process Server is a self-motivated, composed, and conscientious contributor.

  • Location: Covering Sacramento Territory
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
  • Compensation: $21.63-$30.77 Per Hour

The pay range for this role is $21.63-$30.77. Starting pay for new hires is typically within the lower third of the range: $21.63-$24.68. Exceptions may be made based on factors such as education, specialized skills, or significant relevant experience.


Requirements:

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct all duties of a route-based process serving operation, including but not limited to:
  • Maintain a safe vehicle, assigned equipment, and registrations
  • Create and maintain efficient routes based on appointments, rush status and length of time work orders have been in the server’s queue of orders
  • Report issues with orders or locations in accordance with developed procedures
  • Fill out paperwork properly, taking detailed notes of every attempt on every work order
  • Respond and collaborate on department and specific order-based emails
  • Deal with confrontation in a calm and professional manner
  • Maintain location relations by being friendly, polite and respectful
  • Work cross-functionally with other departments in the office, responding to status requests or audits from the Process department supervisor/specialists and proof of service requests from the Proof Desk.
  • Sign and return documents in a timely manner
  • Demonstrate discipline in following all active processes to ensure standardization
  • Demonstrate accuracy, dependability and consistency with work assignments and expectations
  • Communicate effectively
  • Demonstrate street smarts when in the field
  • Other duties as assigned


WHAT YOU BRING

  • Education and/or experience:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of progressive experience in a route-based position preferred, but not required
  • Skills:
  • Advanced time management and organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle a high volume of work and function in a fast-paced environment, on deadline
  • Self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail
  • Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
  • Technology:
  • Proficient using a computer, business phone, office software, and other computer programs including Google Workplace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Gmail, etc.)
  • Other:
  • Valid California driver’s license and clean driving history
  • Reliable vehicle, current auto registration and current auto insurance
  • Adequate internet connection for home office

  • Follow dress code


FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation, including, but not limited to:

  • Lifting, bending, standing, climbing or walking while carrying out assigned duties
  • Lift, push, pull up to 35lbs
  • Sitting for at least one hour at a time (total: 4-6 hours/day)
  • Driving for extended periods of time, up to 4-6 hours in a day and up to 100-200 miles per day

Travel may be required for this position up to 100% of working hours
