Job description

  • Oversee and manage safety aspects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and schedule requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and codes, including OSHA, NEC, and construction industry maintenance standards.Develop, implement, and continually improve safety programs to promote occupational health and minimize risk on job sites.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address related safety issues.
  • Manage workers' compensation claims process, ensuring proper documentation, reporting, and resolution.
  • Coordinate and facilitate safety training sessions, covering safety procedures, equipment operation, and emergency response protocols.
  • Develop training programs to enhance technicians' skills and knowledge, including certification requirements and best practices.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement, adjusting programs as needed to meet evolving industry needs and requirements.
  • Maintain training records and documentation in the company's HRIS system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with Regional Directors, Operation Managers, Project Managers, Technicians, and clients to address safety concerns, implement best practices, and coordinate training initiatives specific to projects.
  • Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and HVAC safety and training best practices.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in safety, training coordination, or related roles, with an OSHA 501 and/or 510 qualification (preferred) or willing to achieve.
  • CSP or ASP certification (preferred) or willing to achieve.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance management.
  • Familiarity with construction industry-specific standards and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, including effectively conveying safety requirements, facilitating training sessions, and engaging diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, proactively addressing safety challenges and optimizing training programs.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate safety and training records and documentation.
  • Ability to respond to changing safety and training needs and priorities.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including creating training materials and relevant documents.
