Job Summary
A growing industrial construction and infrastructure organization is seeking a Safety Manager in Greer, SC. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for a safety professional who enjoys building strong programs, partnering with field and operations teams, and creating safer, more compliant job sites.
The Safety Manager will oversee occupational health and safety initiatives across construction, maintenance, and project environments, with a focus on OSHA compliance, training, site inspections, workers' compensation, and continuous improvement. This role offers the opportunity to work with supportive leadership, collaborative project teams, and a company culture that values safety, accountability, training, and long-term professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee safety programs from project inception through completion, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, regulatory, and schedule expectations.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve job site safety programs to reduce risk and promote occupational health.
- Conduct regular site inspections, identify hazards, document findings, and partner with teams to resolve safety concerns.
- Manage workers' compensation claims, including reporting, documentation, follow-up, and resolution support.
- Coordinate and facilitate safety training covering procedures, equipment operation, emergency response, certifications, and best practices.
- Maintain accurate safety, training, and compliance records within the HRIS system.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $75,000 to $100,000 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Manage safety programs for industrial construction, facilities, infrastructure, maintenance, or related job site environments.
- Lead safety inspections, compliance initiatives, incident follow-up, and corrective action processes.
- Coordinate safety training programs and maintain accurate compliance documentation.
- Collaborate with Regional Directors, Operations Managers, Project Managers, Technicians, and clients to support project-specific safety needs.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety, training coordination, construction safety, or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, compliance management, and job site safety practices.
- Familiarity with construction industry standards, maintenance requirements, NEC-related safety considerations, and applicable codes.
- Ability to manage workers' compensation claims processes and related documentation.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, including the ability to facilitate training and engage field, operations, and client stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize competing tasks, and respond to changing safety needs.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and follow-through skills.
- High attention to detail with a commitment to accurate safety records, training records, and regulatory documentation.
- Proficiency with computer systems, including creating training materials, documents, and HRIS recordkeeping.
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA 501 and/or OSHA 510 certification, or willingness to obtain.
- CSP or ASP certification, or willingness to obtain.
- Bachelor's degree in safety, occupational health, construction management, human resources, or a related field.
- Experience supporting HVAC, industrial facilities, infrastructure, or construction maintenance environments.
- Experience developing technician training programs, certification tracking, and skills development initiatives.
