Job Summary Summary: Responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of environmental, health, and safety programs within an organization including developing and implementing policies, procedures, and initiatives to ensure compliance with regulations, preventing workplace accidents, protecting employee health, and mitigating environmental impact. Does this position require Patient Care? No Essential Functions: Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations. Develop and implement comprehensive environmental, health, and safety programs, policies, and procedures. Conduct thorough risk assessments and identify workplace hazards related to environmental, health, and safety. Analyze work processes, equipment, and facilities to identify potential risks and develop effective control measures. Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on policies, procedures, and safe work practices. Establish and oversee incident management protocols, including reporting, investigation, and corrective action processes. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure effective emergency communication, evacuation procedures, and response to hazardous incidents. Develop and implement environmental management programs to minimize the organization's environmental impact. Track and report key performance indicators, such as incident rates, compliance status, training completion, and corrective actions. Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree Environmental Health required or Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required or Master's Degree Related Field of Study preferred. Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Licenses and Credentials Experience Environmental Health/Safety Experience 3-5 years required and Supervisory/Management Experience 2-3 years preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations. Proven leadership in environmental health and safety management or a related field and the ability to lead staff. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively train and educate employees on environmental, health, and safety topics.
