Job description

REGIONAL MAINTENANCE MANAGER:  Responsible for the stores that are assigned to you under the direction of the Director of Maintenance across a multi-state region including Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and New York. Manages and participates in the maintenance, operation, upgrading and planned replacement of HVAC, elevator, escalator, energy and lighting systems in the branch stores assigned.  Achieves a high degree of reliability, safety, economic use of resources and the aesthetic support necessary for the stores to maintain a high level of selling service.

Duties:  The following list represents typical duties performed by individuals in this position. Specific duties performed by an incumbent will vary depending upon the employees' skillset and ability to learn. 

  • Accurate use and control of the Accruent database to control the work orders in the stores under your control
    • All asset lists are kept accurate
    • Work orders are properly documented/assigned and completed in a timely manner.
    • Costs are kept under control. Capital and Major Expense costs are communicated with Senior Maintenance Staff,
    • Purchasing of materials/parts is completed according to company policy with proper documentation. This would also include insuring personnel under your direction comply.
    • Personnel Time Management: Insure each store across all four states (PA, RI, CT, and NY) is adequately supported.
  • Monitor Store HVAC systems to insure they are functioning properly.  Dispatch maintenance personnel and/or contractors as required insuring systems are operating properly. 
    • Ensures efficient, economical operation of utilities equipment assigned. 
  • Participate in source selection, make or buy decisions and quality programs relating to HVAC, Elevator, Escalator, lighting and utility systems
    • Directs and participates in the major overhaul of assigned equipment.  Maintains current schedule of the major overhaul time cycle, and technical data necessary for these repairs
  • Continually upgrade your skillset with the latest technology for BAS/EMS
  • Provide scheduled training for Maintenance Technicians to help them become more competent in our systems, processes and their ability to respond to requests and emergencies.
  • Create reports showing improvements, documenting what was done and show the affects in either better temperature control of the store or energy efficiency.
  • Provide necessary input for Capital Improvement Projects to include specifications and quotes as needed.   Stressing planned activities rather than reactive.
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts as necessary to insure reliability of our systems.
  • Keep all facilities compliant with all Local, State and Federal guidelines across all operating states (PA, RI, CT, and NY).
  • Regularly communicates with Store Management to insure all issues are addressed in a timely manner.   Keeping team members informed of pending maintenance activities. Communicates with Senior Maintenance Management on the same issues.   
  • Other Duties and Locations as assigned.

Qualifications: A high school diploma and at least 5 years of HVAC and Electrical Back round. Familiarization in the Andover Continuum System is a must. Trade school or education background in controls could substitute for experience. This position requires regular travel to store locations across Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and New York to install, troubleshoot, and repair as needed. Must possess a valid driver's license. Overnight stays will be required and coordinated with Boscov's Travel.

Requirements:   

  • Must be available 24/7 as store needs dictate. Use of company phone and laptop to perform duties and must be available and ready for use at all times.
  • Must be willing and able to travel throughout the four-state region (PA, RI, CT, and NY) on a regular basis, including overnight stays as required.
