Job Description:
The Reliability Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving asset reliability strategies to maximize equipment uptime, safety, quality, and operational performance. This role leads reliability engineering initiatives, predictive and preventive maintenance programs, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement efforts to reduce equipment failures and maintenance costs while supporting business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute reliability and asset management strategies for manufacturing, production, or industrial facilities.
  • Lead reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), preventive maintenance (PM), and predictive maintenance (PdM) programs.
  • Analyze equipment performance data and reliability metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Drive root cause failure analysis (RCFA) and corrective action implementation for recurring equipment issues.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to improve asset performance.
  • Manage condition monitoring technologies such as vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, and ultrasonic testing.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) including:
  • Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
  • Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF)
  • Mean Time to Repair (MTTR)
  • Maintenance Cost per Unit Produced
  • Equipment Availability and Reliability
  • Support capital projects, equipment upgrades, and lifecycle asset management planning.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and mentor reliability engineers, planners, and technical personnel.
  • Develop maintenance standards, best practices, and training programs.

Education and Experience:
  • Typically possesses a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 8-12 years of relevant experience.

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Possesses comprehensive knowledge and in-depth understanding of manufacturing operations and maintenance concepts and practices.
  • Possesses a technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical/electronic, instrumentation, and computer systems.
  • Possesses experience with assembling and disassembling equipment.
  • Demonstrates ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems.
  • Demonstrates excellent project management and planning skills.
  • Possesses strong problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrates excellent leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage a team.

Compensation Range:
The pay range for this position is $103,900.00 - $176,800.00 annually. Typically, a competitive wage for new hires will fall between150,000.00 to155,000.00 annually. Offers for this position may vary based on market data and other factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. The position may also be eligible for a short-term incentive.
