Are you ready to lead a team of dedicated professionals while setting the stage for success? Fehr Graham is a fast-growing Midwest engineering and environmental firm looking for a dynamic and motivated Branch Manager to join our team in Champaign, Illinois.

What you'll doAs the Champaign Civil Engineering Branch Manager, you'll orchestrate efficiency, net profit and net revenue while minimizing write-offs and rework. The best fit candidate's touch will turn each project into a success story. You'll also:
  • Handle day-to-day branch operations, including overseeing personnel in Champaign.
  • Develop relationships with other managers, senior leadership and marketing to define market and client opportunities and strategies for business development.
  • Turn prospects into clients by building relationships and trust.
  • Maintain clients by establishing a working relationship with key decision makers and influencers based on Fehr Graham's Core Values.
  • Lead projects using resources to accurately invoice clients within budget.
  • Prepare client contracts, statements of qualifications, fee proposals and contracts.
  • Effectively communicate ideas and technical concepts to coworkers and with clients on sensitive and complex matters.
  • Understand client needs and apply innovative thinking to solve problems and capture opportunities.
  • Ensure quality control for projects and clients.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of understanding of market, client, and technology trends and advancement.
  • Attend meetings and community and industry events.
  • Follow/research industry trends and communicate back to the team.
  • Prepare and present formal client presentations.
  • Maintain client confidentiality for all project work.
  • Recruit, develop, coach and mentor staff.

What it takes
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering or related field is required.
  • Eight years or more of experience in staff supervision, client relations, and/or business development and project management.
  • Have experience in the consulting industry.
  • Licensed in your respective discipline.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local regulations related to engineering projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing projects and people.
  • Desire and ability to empower our professionals with industry knowledge to help with processes and client satisfaction.
