Job description

Pay Rates: Starting: $20.50

Top out at progression year 3 ($24.00 to 25.50)

Expectations
Personal safety and clear understanding of safety processes and procedures. Monitor and evaluate process variables, sample results and make changes and/ or corrections to maintain optimum control, efficiency and safety. Analyze problems or deviations and insure timely corrective actions are taken.
This position can be placed in our Film or offline coating areas.
Physical Requirements
  • Able to lift 50
  • Able to bend, twist sit, squat, kneel, crawl, push and pull
  • Able to reach in all directions
  • Able to walk and stand for extended periods of time to cover a 12 hour shift
  • Other physical requirements as needed for the job
Responsibility
  • Follow safety procedures for machine and activities and perform safe operational activities in order to avoid safety incidents
  • Reading and following work instructions in work group area
  • Produce film product with assigned machine per the run plan
  • Data Entry/ Document control/ Record keeping - Ensuring the data entry for entire process like Raw mat, Down time, Jumbo, properties, slit roll, etc. Monitoring of data entry during shift. Data entry for all issued material from stores. Ensuring all the logbooks, checklists and required formats being followed in the shift.
  • Monitoring of production plan in order to execute the activities for pending plans. Feeding of raw material based on product recipe
  • Execute raw material handling, charging and monitoring consumption
  • Preparation of coating solutions as per run plan, monitor the consumption and coating quality along with updating the chemical inventory to Shift Supervisor
  • Draining and collection of chips in case of any emergency
  • End to end waste handling within the shift. Recyclable waste charging in cutting mills and irrecoverable waste disposal at designated place
  • Executing filter changeover process as per written procedure and allocated time period or as and when required
  • Handling the process failures like film break, blade break, and film removal from machine. De-chocking of cutting mills and fluff piping. Feeding the grinder and clearing cores
  • Report any machine problems and perform minor machine adjustments and troubleshooting
  • To relieve/ support fellow team members as needed
  • Completing and recording quality assurance and control checks
  • Housekeeping
  • Other duties as assigned
