Job description

Eaton Corporation's Global Energy Infrastructure Solutions group is currently seeking a Quality Co-Op to join our team. This position is a seasonal position based at our Sherman, TX facility.
The hourly rate for this position is $22.15 - $27.69 per hour.

What you'll do:
Position Overview:
The Quality Co-op will play a key role in supporting the Quality team by assisting with the development, review, and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance with Eaton's Quality Management System. This individual will help document processes clearly and accurately, collaborate with subject matter experts to update existing SOPs, and ensure that all procedures align with regulatory and internal standards. In addition, the co-op will contribute to quality assurance activities, data analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with inspection and testing of products and components to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Support first article inspections, and non-conformance reporting.
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action processes.
• Help maintain accurate records in SAP and other quality systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on continuous improvement projects using Lean and Six Sigma tools.
• Provide support during customer audits and internal quality system audits.
• Contribute to data collection and analysis for quality metrics (scrap, warranty, DPPM).
• Develop, review, and update SOPs to ensure clarity, compliance, and alignment with quality standards.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or Quality.
• Ability to work 2-3 days per week during the semester or full-time during breaks (per co-op program guidelines).
• Must be able to work a minimum of 18-20 hours per week.
• Minimum cumulative of 3.0 GPA (please don't round)
• Relocation is not provided for this role. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Sherman, TX will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with SAP is a plus.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or quality tools.
• Previous internship or co-op experience in a manufacturing setting.
Position Criteria:
• Proficient in AutoCAD/SolidWorks, Microsoft Office Programs including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
• Collaborative and team focused.
