Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED (Preferred.) 
  • Working knowledge in manufacturing and quality processes and procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions and policies and procedures.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. 
  • This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items.

Physical Demands:  

  • Must be able to lift/move 30 lbs. (may not exceed per EHS policies). 
  • Able to work in extreme hot environment.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Able to use a respirator occasionally. 

Preferred Qualitifications:

  • Must be able to monitor furnace and verify instrumentation. 
  • Should be familiar with furnaces, generators and auxiliary equipment. Understand the procedures of loading, timing, heating and quenching.

Howmet Fastening Systems (HFS) is seeking a Processing Tech I- 2nd Shift in our Fullerton, CA location. 

This position must follow Fullerton specifications and all safety precautions to heat treat and processing. 

Under the direction of supervisory personnel, interprets process specifications, work orders, written, and verbal instructions of all processing and applicable safety procedures, other than those pertaining directly to electroplating and heat treat.  This position must follow of Fullerton specifications and all safety precautions to heat treat and processing. 

  • Perform process operations in accordance with applicable specifications, work order, written, or verbal instructions.
  • Makes additions and new solution make-ups as required.
  • Inter-department moves of production work orders as required.
  • May be used as a training position for Heat Treat or Plating.
  • Adheres to current safety code and cleans workstation and equipment before completing shift or as required.
  • Keep log on all work processed and maintains S.P.C. charts where applicable.
  • May inspect/approve parts prior to moving on to the next operation per procedures.
  • Receives training from experienced operators in department. Keeps a log on all training until employee reaches a level three.
  • Parts to be lifted and/or transported may weigh up to 30 lbs.     
  • Train other operators as required
  • Keeps work area clean, safe and in an orderly fashion on a daily basis.
  • Performs other tasks of equal or lesser skill as required.
